Lakeside Bank has announced the promotion of Kala Kuhlthau to Senior Vice President. She has been with the bank since 2017, in the position of Vice President and Branch Manager at the Sulphur location since its opening.

Kuhlthau is a lifelong resident of Southwest Louisiana and has over 40 years of experience in the banking industry. She has an extensive background in consumer and commercial banking, including business lending, personal banking and internal auditing. Kuhlthau completed the Louisiana Banking School of Supervisory Training as well as numerous training classes with the American Institute of Banking. She is a graduate of the SWLA Leadership Program.

An active community volunteer, Kuhlthau has served on the board of directors for the West Calcasieu Chamber of Commerce for the past three years and was recently appointed treasurer of this organization. She has also served for eight years on the finance committee for Project Build a Future.
